These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern the provision of dog walking and care services by Ted’s Tails ("we", "our", or "us") to you, the Client ("you" or "your"). By booking our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the terms outlined below.

Our Commitment to You

  1. By completing and submitting our intake form, you provide Ted’s Tails with essential information regarding your dog’s health, behaviour, and care requirements.

  2. We commit to using this information to deliver services that prioritise your dog’s safety, wellbeing, and individual needs.

  3. All dogs in our care will be treated with professionalism, compassion, and attention, ensuring a reliable and personalised experience.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Payment: You agree to pay the current rates applicable at the time of service.

  2. Cancellations: A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required to cancel any service without incurring charges.

  3. Accurate Information: You agree to provide complete and accurate information regarding your dog’s health, behaviour, and care needs.

  4. Equipment: You are responsible for supplying appropriate, safe, and functional equipment (e.g., leads, harnesses, muzzles).

  5. Access: You will provide or arrange secure access to your property as needed, including keys or entry codes.

  6. Emergency Care: You authorise Ted’s Tails to seek emergency veterinary care if necessary. We will attempt to contact you prior to doing so, but reserve the right to use an alternative veterinarian if you are unreachable.

  7. Reimbursement: You agree to reimburse Ted’s Tails for all emergency or unforeseen costs incurred on your behalf, including transport, supplies, and veterinary fees.

  8. Indemnity: You are liable for any injury or damage caused by your dog to any person, animal, or property, and agree to indemnify Ted’s Tails and its staff.

  9. Reactivity: If your dog is known to be reactive, you agree that a properly fitted muzzle will be worn during services to ensure the safety of both your dog and the handler.

Your Pet’s Health and Safety

  1. All dogs must be up to date with vaccinations, flea treatments, and worming before attending services.

  2. Dogs identified as reactive must wear a securely fitted muzzle at all times while in our care.

  3. Ted’s Tails reserves the right to terminate services immediately if a pet is deemed dangerous to itself, other animals, or people. In such cases, we are authorised to place the pet in alternative care at your expense.

Liability and Risk

  1. We are not responsible for any loss or damage to your property if other individuals have access during the period of our service.

  2. If you authorise off-lead walks, you accept full responsibility and liability in the event your dog runs away, becomes lost, or causes harm.

  3. We are not liable for incidents resulting from faulty or poorly fitting equipment provided by you.

  4. Ted’s Tails accepts no liability for damage caused by your pet while in our care.

  5. You acknowledge that services such as daycare, boarding, and group walks involve inherent risks. You agree not to hold Ted’s Tails or its staff liable for injuries, unless caused by gross negligence.

  6. Any issues or concerns regarding services must be reported within 24 hours of the appointment.
