Hi, I’m Amy…

Dog mum to Ted, my tenacious Teckel, and Goose, my golden Retriever–Lab cross.

My journey into dog care didn’t begin with an easygoing pup, it began with Ted, a reactive dog who challenged me in every possible way. Walks were exhausting, advice felt confusing or unhelpful, and for a long time, I felt completely alone in trying to support him. I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed, judged, and unsure of where to turn.

But through years of persistence, education, and a deep commitment to truly understanding Ted’s behaviour with the support from an incredible organisation - Honest Hounds, we found a way forward, not by masking his struggles, but by meeting them with empathy, structure, and trust. Ted taught me more than any textbook ever could. His transformation from reactivity to resilience inspired me to help other dogs and their humans feel seen, supported, and safe.

At Ted’s Tails, I offer a gentler, more understanding approach to dog walking, sitting, and training support. I’m here to help you move beyond quick fixes toward a partnership built on real confidence. Whether it’s a quiet walk for a nervous pup or a tailored in-home session to tackle root behaviours, I support you both every step of the way. Easygoing dogs are always welcome too. I'm here to help you thrive together.

I provide care that respects each dog as an individual because every dog deserves to be understood.

“Amy really helped me with my puppy’s recall and introduced me to “pattern interrupt,” which has been pivotal, especially now he’s in his teenage stage. I highly recommend Amy. She’s very positive, full of knowledge, and gives genuinely effective advice.”
